The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) introduced regulations requiring funeral directors to publish a Standardised Price List, helping families compare providers and understand core funeral costs.
While these regulations have improved transparency across the profession, the prescribed CMA pricing structure does not always provide a complete picture of the costs associated with a traditional or bespoke funeral. In many cases, families may find only limited information available online beyond the standardised categories, making it difficult to compare like-for-like services.
At Dean Brothers, we believe families deserve complete clarity from the outset. That is why we go beyond the minimum requirements by providing detailed and transparent pricing wherever possible, allowing families to understand exactly what is included in the services they are considering.
We believe that informed decisions are better decisions. By offering clear, itemised information and openly publishing our prices, we aim to remove uncertainty at a time when families need confidence, reassurance and trust.
As a long-established independent funeral director and proud member of SAIF, we remain committed to the principles of honesty, professionalism and transparency in everything we do.
